Charity Football Matches

HH helped entertain the crowds at two recent charity football matches.

More than 5,000 people watched Mark Crossley's Forest Legends go head-to-head with a Soap Stars XI at The City Ground on Sunday. The Legends dominated the match and ran out 7-0 winners on the day.

Teddy Sheringham and Bryan Roy spearheaded the Legends attack as they proved too hot to handle for the Soap Stars.

All the proceeds from the day which include ticket sales, raffles at half time and a bucket collection will be split between the three charities The Lymphoma Association,Once Upon a Smile and the clubs nominated charityBeaumond House Community Hospice.

The 7th annual Jamie Walker charity match at Chesterfield FC helped to raise funds for the Lymphoma Association.

Guest stars playing included stars from TV soaps like the Moon brothers from Eastenders and actors from Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road. Once again youth won out over experience and the Soapstars beat the ex Chesterfield players 6-1.

Sci Fi at the Movies - Closing Weekend

We were back at Steam in Swindon this month to close the hugely succesful Sci Fi at the Movies exhibition.

John Chapman and Rusty Goffe were on hand to sign autographs and we were once again joined by characters from other clubs to put on a fitting finale to a great run in Swindon.

It's nice to know that other costuming clubs are there to participate and make an event bigger and better and also to get to know other like minded individuals who share a common interest... it also makes the post event social a lot more fun!!

Star of the show was the light sabre battle. An amazing 650 adults, children and costumers battling it out in the arena!

Janon Momoa - Star of Conan, Stargate Atlantis and Game of Thrones

Also scheduled to appear were Highlander star Christopher Lambert and Star Trek favourites Rene Auberjonois, Colm Meaney, Chase Masterson, Jeri Ryan and Nana Visitor.

Sci-Fi fans from all across the UK made their war to Peterborough to meet their heroes and have their pictures taken and HH had some "Sticker Fun" with the stars.

Llandudno Extravaganza

The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza might seem like a strange place to find Star Wars characters but you will find them there!

Packed full of Steam Engines and Victorian Musical Organs, Vintage Cars and Costumes, Curiosities & Sideshows the centrepiece of the weekend is the parade throughout town.

Freeze!
It's full of Marching Bands, Victorian Costume walkers, Steam engines and vintage vehicles, Britain’s best Town Criers, stilt walkers, street entertainers and... Star Wars characters!

Is that why they are called" tree huggers"?
A select (and very geographically suited) team of HH members put on a great performance throughout the parade and even managed to find time to enjoy the carnival themselves!

Wheee!
